Masomo is a non-profit organisation in Germany and the United States that was created by a group of young, passionate individuals from Germany, who have personal links with the 140 children of Starehe Children's Home orphanage in Mwanza, Tanzania.
"Masomo" means education in Kiswahili, the local language of East Africa. It's the name we've chosen for our non-profit organisation to highlight our aim of helping young Tanzanian orphans with their educational career.
We have built a nursery school for the younger children, we provide scholarships for the older children so that they are able to attending the International Isamilo School.
As our sponsorship programme comes to end in the summer of 2013 and all our children have financial support until this time, we are no longer looking for any donors.
